General Hydroponics pH Down Adjusting Solution Gallon
- Concentrated Acid is formulated using food grade Phosphoric acid - pure plant nutrient is used to lower the pH in a reservoir
- Add a little at a time if your nutrient pH is too high and this will lower the pH to within range
- pH can be affected by poor water quality, pH unstable growing media and when growth rates are so high that nutrient mix is thrown off due to rapid nutrient absorption by plants
- Pure water has a balance of hydrogen and hydroxyl and is pH neutral (pH7)
- Most plants grow best when pH is in the range of 5.5 to 6.5 and lose their ablility to absorb nutrients when pH is not at the proper level
