Ultra Violet portable ozone generators treat odors by producing ozone using special ultra violet light bulbs. Ozone is a very powerful "oxidizer" and can sterilize water and air by attaching itself to offending odors and destroying them by changing their chemical composition. OSHA limits for ozone exposure are .5 ppm for 8 hours.
